TBA This celebration of wildlife is dedicated to the Black Brant geese that take a rest stop along the shore around Parksville and Qualicum Beach, on their way to Alaska from California and Mexico. Thousands of other waterbirds, seals, eagles and sea lions are also attracted to the area during this time by the spawning Pacific herring. The festival celebrates the increased wildlife activity through a series of events, including eco-tours, bird counts, nature photography and wildlife tours.
