Other events include a classic car show, beach volleyball and croquet tournaments, and stage presentations.

KidFest offers plenty of fun for the whole family filled with interactive activities and entertainment. There will be a main stage with musical acts. And over 30 groups are available offering free crafts and various activities for kids under 14 years old, including face painting and crafts. This is a free event.

This celebration of wildlife is dedicated to the Black Brant geese that take a rest stop along the shore around Parksville and Qualicum Beach, on their way to Alaska from California and Mexico. Thousands of other waterbirds, seals, eagles and sea lions are also attracted to the area during this time by the spawning Pacific herring. The festival celebrates the increased wildlife activity through a series of events, including eco-tours, bird counts, nature photography and wildlife tours.
